All About Family

Rochelle's Baby Shower was a success! She picked the colors and paper she wanted, and I made the decorations.

Family was in town for my cousin Rochelle's baby shower. My Aunt Gloria and Mom took these pictures of the baby cousins while us older cousins went to get stuff for dinner. Faith and Joshie, my cousin Rachel's kids, on the left.

Memorial Day grill out at TJ's sister's house. Ivy and her cousin Ben had fun playing with all of Ben's awesome toys. This is my favrite picture of Elouise! She's like an angry, glass eyed doll!

Ivy Jane! almost 2 1/2 yrs old. She's so silly and goofy. We have so much fun together. She's a total girl! Even the smallest piece of fuzz is a BUG! She loves playing the 'garden' with me, and is such a little mommy to Elouise. Except for the random, "No Elouise, that's mine!". She loves having me paint and clip her finger and toe nails, and she will wear as many pony tails on her wrists as she can possibly fit!

Elouise Mae! 8 1/2 months old. She's crawling everywhere, eating anything, and laughing while doing it! So cute and so bald! Watch out for her angry baby face and high pitched squeal!

Fun stuff

I had to share a couple shops that I have found, purchase from, and love the items!

Brinda Kay Design makes cool purses and trays out of vinyl records. Pretty sweet stuff.

This vinyl record was turned into an awesome bowl/tray. It's really nicely made and super cool. I love The Cars! The tray is "just what I needed".

I also love LizMiera. She has all kinds of patches and things. I ordered some custom name patches for TJ and his band and they were so awesome! You can get whatever name or word that you want on them, and they are great quality. You can't beat the price. I'll for sure be back for more! Here are some examples from her shop:

We love Jack

Jack Black was recently the guest star on Yo Gabba Gabba. Ivy and I have been long time fans of Yo Gabba Gabba, and it's one of the shows we dvr. The Jack Black episode was AMAZING! Ivy loved it more than I did though, that's for sure. If she's having a bad day, is sad about something, or whatever......the answer to all her problems is Jack Black. I just have to say the magic words, "You wanna watch Jack Black?" and her tears magically disappear, and the world is a happy place again. I guess some rockin tunes, colorful creatures, and a funny bearded man is all it takes.

It's also awesome to be a mom and see that one of my daughter's favorite shows is starring Jack Black. I mean, come on, it's Jack Black. Tenacious D rules.

Easter

Elouise enjoys eating drumsticks more than playing drums!

We only did one typical Easter tradition this year. We colored eggs. I have 24 pastel, stickered eggs in my fridge. Ivy had so much fun coloring them! She was totally into it. Every egg had to be covered in stickers. She had about 6 eggs that had to be in the little eggs stands, and she talked to them for about 20 minutes until it was time for them to go to their home in the fridge.

Cheap Entertainment

My sweet Elouise. Give her a piece of bread, and she'll be entertained for an hour!

Cheese!

I still haven't gotten a new camera, and because of that, it is so hard to get a good picture of Elouise. She is constantly in motion unless she's sleepy!

Ivy is in love with cheese. There's no stopping her when cheese is around. She's all over it. I was making pizza sandwiches the other day, and she was very content with the massive bag of mozzarella!

Magnet Love

I made some new magnets. These are a couple of my favorites. There are more in my shop, and keep your eye out for more in the near future!

Grandma's Basement

Spok was recently introduced to his body double a couple weeks ago when my 70yr old Grandma pulled him out of a box in her basement and gave me the honor of letting it collect dust on my small toy shelf. Now, every time I walk into my kitchen I get a feeling of happiness seeing my two Spoks.

My Grandma also gave me her old roller skates. I almost cried. They are so amazing. The box is so amazing. Best gift ever.

My baby pie.

Elouise is growing up so fast! She is 6 mths old and wearing size 12 mths! She doesn't seem that big (to me) because she has such tiny features. It's even more weird because Ivy just turned 2, and just grew out of her 12-18 mth. I put them all upstairs in "storage" just a couple weeks ago, and now I got them out again! Crazy.

She scoots around everywhere on her belly. Rolling around like mad. She follows her husky laugh with an ear piercing squeal. She sits up on her own and flaps her arms as if she's trying to fly up to be at level with us giants. She is still bald! She is my baby pie.

Holy Crap

I can't wait for the new Yo Gabba Gabba episode with Jack Black. Here's a LINK for a sneak peek! Ivy's official favorite is Foofa. She's girly like that. I scored a new Plex hoodie for like $4. Walking through the clearance clothes at Walmart, on my way to the diapers. Found some cute Foofa PJ's, too. Gotta love clearance.

Speaking of cheap crap. This weekend is Spring Clean Up for our neighborhood. Everyone starts putting their crap and trash at the curb today, and the garbage guys pick it up on Monday. People come from all over town with their pickups to check things out. I don't have a pickup, but that's not stopping me! I just thought while I was out tonight, I'd drive up a couple different streets. I found one of those cars for kids. You know, the orange and yellow ones that practically every little kid in America has? Well, now my kid has one. I need to wash the mud off of it, and it doesn't have a horn. But it was FREE! Yessss.
